It is not always easy to go through life together. Conflicts and crises are part of every partnership.
Couples counseling/couples therapy is recommended for:
Persistent conflicts
Stress and excessive demands
Alienation from each other
Permanent insults
Difficult communication
Separation with children
Then it is good to talk to each other in a protected environment, to reflect on difficult issues and to work out solutions together.
At the beginning of the counseling session, you both tell me about your concerns. We talk about your life situation, the solutions you have already tried to find and your expectations of the counseling session.
The following sessions will focus on problem-solving on the one hand and on understanding the development and dynamics of your conflict on the other. Your own emotional injuries and those of the other person can be identified. The perception and perspective of both parties is important and is given space in the joint counseling session.
Couples counseling/couples therapy usually lasts between 5-15 sessions.
