Do I need a referral from my GP?
No. Psychotherapy can also be used without a referral from your GP.
Does my health insurance pay for psychotherapy?
No. As I do not have a so-called “Kassensitz”, I cannot bill the health insurance company. You have to pay for the therapy sessions yourself.
Are you bound by confidentiality?
Yes, as I have a private practice, neither the health insurance company nor a doctor receives a report.
Are you just as qualified as statutory health insurance therapists?
Yes. I have been licensed since 1999 and have the professional title “Psychological Psychotherapist”.
Do you prescribe medication?
No. Medication is prescribed by registered doctors.
Can you write me out of work?
No. Please contact your family doctor for a sick note.
Do you charge a cancellation fee?
Please cancel appointments at least 48 hours in advance. I do not charge a cancellation fee for clients who have to take care of others or who are ill. For clients who have “forgotten” their appointment, I charge a cancellation fee of €50.
Is it possible to have individual sessions in couples therapy?
This is possible by arrangement. However, the request for individual sessions must be discussed as part of the couple’s therapy.
What is the parking situation at the practice?
There are only a few free parking spaces in the city center. Paid parking spaces are available in front of the building.
